ERGONOMICS AND.

WELLNESS

Having to start from the assumption that “man” was originally a quadruped and that, in evolution, he gained the upright position, the concept of sitting turns out not to be a natural condition. But it is the one that, after lying down in the resting state, we find ourselves maintaining for the longest time during the day. And that is why it is regulated by both national (81/06) and European (en 1335) Law regulations that indicate the essential characteristics of seating. Therefore, when choosing an armchair various features should be considered, not only aesthetic ones but especially those tending to functionality but, even more, those that avoid comfort deficits or, even worse, lasting pathologies. Because above all, inflammatory and/or arthrotic processes take over (due to lumbago, bursitis, tendinitis etc.), and force the person to engage in wrong behaviors such as limping, dragging, squatting overloading and inappropriately using even the shoulders and spine in an attempt to make up for the inability to move freely. Given the kind of fast-paced life we live, the high level of stress we experience every day, and the lack of self-observation education, almost no one is attentive enough to be able to pick up on the first discomforts of the body or to be able to observe one’s posture to see if we are altering in form.

COMFORT Logo
With its range of chairs for the office, but also for the “home office” and leisure, it allows to help those who use them to maintain the ideal position for the body thanks to the lumbar support, the neck support headrest, the horizontal sliding of the seat that guarantees the permanent contact of the backrest to the back ensuring the right angle between torso and legs, the MESH fabric that avoids temperature changes to the back being naturally ventilated, the 4D armrests that guarantee – at all times – the support of the torso while working. But the only parameter of choice, is always and exclusively to feel good, managing to meet all the “ergonomic” parameters related to our “anthropometry.” And for this it is always necessary to have a specialist consultation, which will help to understand the real situation of one’s body.
